Totton & Eling Cricket Club
One of Hampshire's leading cricket clubs, on the edge of the New Forest — competitive Saturday cricket, a thriving junior section, and a clubhouse that welcomes the whole community.
Competitive cricket, open to everyone
We field four adult Saturday teams, a Tuesday evening side, and a growing junior section — all playing out of the same clubhouse that hosts weddings and parties on Southern Gardens.
From the Sunbeams to today
Nearly a century of cricket on the same patch of ground.
The earliest recorded team was a ladies' side who called themselves "The Sunbeams", playing at Bellemore Road before the move to Southern Gardens.
The club, then known as Bramtoco Sports Cricket Club, built its first clubhouse in the corner of the grounds next to the railway line.
Saturday cricket was organised into a formal league structure as the club entered the Hampshire Leagues.
A golden spell for the 1st XI, winning Division 1 of the Southern Electric Premier League three times and finishing runners-up once, never dropping outside the top five.
Following the closure of the Southampton BAT factory, the club was renamed Totton & Eling Cricket Club to reflect its commitment to the local community.
The current clubhouse opened, with two function rooms overlooking the square — now also home to TECC Events.
